Service Agreement

**Please thoroughly read this document to ensure you are aware of our policies and procedures. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this agreement please do not hesitate to ask us for clarification.

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances....

The pet is fit and healthy, Grooming which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health/skin conditions for which Just B Paws cannot be held liable.
Rabies Vaccine-My pet is up to date on his or her Rabies vaccination. In the event that a bite may occur to one of our stylists, if my pet is not up to date on the Rabies vaccine, I, the owner of the pet, understand and agree to pay for all medical expenses caused by my pet by not having the Rabies vaccine.
In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Just B Paws to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense.
Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, check, or Venmo. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. Our rates are based on the breed of the pet and duration of the groom. Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the stylist.
“De-matting" or complete coat removal will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health\skin problems for which Just B Paws cannot be held liable.

1. Cancellations

Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 48 hours notice to waive then$50 per pet cancellation fee. Appointments cancelled within 24 hrs will incur the FULL appointment fee. This helps us insure that the appointment time can be made available to another client who is on the waitlist.
If two appointments are missed without giving notice, you will be required to pre-pay prior to scheduling any future appointments.
In the event of a family emergency or any other uncontrollable circumstance, the groomer has the discretion to waive the fee within the 48 hour period.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the stylist.

2. No-Shows

It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the stylist to cancel or reschedule.

We reserve the right to charge the FULL grooming fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show". Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.

In the event that I am not present, I hereby grant permission to Just B Paws to obtain emergency veterinary treatment for my pet, at my expense. The undersigned further grants full permission to Just B Paws to use any photographs or videotapes from grooming for any purpose. Additionally, I have notified Just B Paws of any pre-existing medical conditions my pet may have prior to receiving grooming services.

Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner upon signing this contract/ agreement.

Because we care about your pet's safety, we want to assure you that every precaution will be taken to provide a safe and stress-free grooming experience for your pet. Due to the intimate nature of the grooming process, or a pet's tolerance level for stress, strangers, or handling, some pets can become anxious or reactive during the grooming process.

If we determine that continuing the grooming service would present a threat to your dog's emotional or physical heath, and/or the safety of the stylist completing the service, we will discontinue today's service and contact you immediately, and you will be responsible for any services rendered.

We will take every precaution necessary to complete the grooming service safely and humanely including the proper use of common industry safety equipment such as grooming loops, muzzles, and restraints.

**By signing this agreement, you indicate that you understand and agree to our terms of service; that you understand and agree to release and hold harmless Just B Paws, its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all liabilities, expenses, damages, and costs (including attorney fees) resulting from any service provided or injury (including death) to your pet(s) while in our care or afterward. I certify that the information provided above is correct and that my dog is physically and mentally fit to be groomed at this time. I also certify that my pet's rabies vaccinations are up to date. It is understood that the groomer will not be held liable or responsible for any irritations caused by previous groomers who are not affiliated with Just B Paws, including scratches, injuries, and hair loss.
